    A few million more taxpayer dollars disappeared into the ether, a few more million frequent-flyer points clocked up, lots of hotel mini-bars were emptied, lotsa boozing, a bit o’ shagging, a few more self-righteous egos were stroked and a whole brace of jobsworths got to justify their existence slurping on the taxpayer teat back home.

    Leonardo got another gig reading a script somebody wrote for him and a few thousand rent-a-crowd students blocked traffic and made a few bucks which means they got to eat supersize cheeseburgers instead of a cup o’ noodles this week.

    Yep, seems like they all agreed a good time was had by all. What’s that? The climate? Oh, the weather was fine thanks.
